Our designer of the month is a talented lady who has developed her passion into a thriving business in Europe. BLACK & BROWN London was established in 1999. The idea behind the business was to create fashionable yet superb quality leather belts. In addition to the ever-growing popularity of the belt ranges, there is a collection of exquisite leather Handbags and Jewellery.

Each item is designed and handcrafted in the UK using only the finest leathers and embellishment creating a fashionable, stylish, yet beautiful accessory. A variety of techniques is used such as embossed leather, crystal embellished leathers and hand painted leathers which result in a completely unique look for customers setting them apart from the rest. You will find something for every occasion from everyday jeans belts to glamorous crystal-encrusted buckles and straps to fabulous cinch styles. (MP – we love them!)

Simi bringing the brand to life.

Simi was born in 1981 in London. She was exposed to the fashion industry from a young age, as her parents ran a successful wholesale & retail fashion company. Simi has always had a penchant for design & creativity however it was only until she graduated with a degree in Classics and French that she decided to pursue a career in the fashion world.

Simi’s love of all things that sparkle has always been a source of inspiration for the collections. Her love of Classical civilisations & beliefs has also inspired a line of evil eye jewellery which was recently launched. As well as producing designs for ‘Black & Brown London’, Simi also creates winning looks for many private-label companies around the world.
