For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, and the website itself, the following
terms relate to mapochette.com
mapochette.com is a designer handbag hire website, with an additional function to sell
bags when available.
Users (users = participants of mapochette.com services) must be aware of the following stipulations
Any user details submitted to mapochette.com must be true and current.
Users must be a resident of UAE or any of the Gulf countries.
Users must be aged 18 or over.
Users must have a valid method of payment (credit card) based in UAE.
Authorisation to take payments will continue until the user or mypochette.com
terminate or suspend the contract.
mapochette.com reserves the right to terminate or suspend service to users for failure to
use the service in a proper manner, non-payment of fees or a breach of these Terms and
Conditions. In such instances, the company will take necessary measures to reclaim any
property outstanding, eg, handbags due for return, and the user will be liable for any
expenses thereby incurred.
By hiring a bag from mapochette.com, users agree to look after the bag and return it on
time and in the same condition in which they received it.
Users will not sell, rehire, damage or modify bags belonging to mapochette.com in any way,
unless they have purchased the bag from mapochette.com in full to the agreed price.
Upon signing up with mapochette.com , all user obligations detailed within these Terms and
Conditions will apply to said user.
Upon hiring their first bag, the member will undertake the company's security credit checks
before their first bag is despatched.
Contract Payment terms for users
By joining mapochette.com and/ or using the service, users authorise the company to process charges on their payment card, in the instances of the membership fee, hire payments and damage/loss payments (see Damage/Loss section for full details). Users also authorise mapochette.com to take an authorization of the credit card details which allows mapcochett.com to confirm sufficient credit available in the users account to cover loss of damage to the bag if that were to occur whilst the bag is hired to the user.
Such authorization does not take any money from the users account but ensures the sum of money is available in the account.
mapochette.com will not divulge users payment details to third parties.
mapochette.com reserves the right to terminate or suspend user service for failure to use mapochette.com in a proper manner, non-payment or a breach of these Terms and Conditions. In such instances, the company will take necessary measures to reclaim any property oustanding, eg, handbags due for return, and the user will be liable for any expenses thereby incurred.
Similarly, should mypochette.com incur any costs for late payments or late returns of bags hired, the company reserves the right to pass these expenses on to the user for payment.
Users are solely liable for any charges incurred on their own financial account by their own act or omission. Members should notify mapochette.com of any problems regarding processing of payments.
Authenticity and Provision of Bags
All bags provided by mapochette.com are authentic designer bags and are provided in new or as-new condition. Proof of authenticity and receipts are available for inspection upon request.
All bags remain the exclusive property of mapochette.com at all times.
Users may hire up to two bags maximum at any one time.
Should the bags become damaged, lost or stolen, the user agrees to meet the costs incurred by such an occurrence. Damage means harm internally or externally to all bags hired from mypochette.com and includes damage, tears and stains to buckles, zips, straps, buttons, tags and also include smoke damage/smells. This list is not exclusive and any unreasonable damage will be charged for at the discretion of mapochette.com Wherever possible, mapochette.com will endeavour to repair damage and keep ensuing costs as low as possible.
Replacement fees for hired handbags are determined by mapochette.com Consideration will be given to the retail value of the handbag, its rarity, how easily replaced it is and the number of occasions it has been hired, together with its condition. If users wish to know the replacement value of any of our bags they should contact mapochette.com.
Theft of the hired handbag remains the responsibility of the user. All handbags not returned on the agreed due date, will be charged for in full and includes loss of earnings on bag until full replacement is in place.
Changes to Terms and Conditions and the Website
mapochette.com reserves the right to modify and change the site and the Terms and Conditions at our discretion and without notifying members. Modifications to the website will be ongoing, to include our News page, new bags being added and obsolete bags being removed, new features and other modifications as we see fit.
Limitation of Liability
mapochette.com will not be held liable for direct, consequential or indirect loss or damages of any kind suffered by users as a result of any act or omission of mapochette.com This clause extends beyond the lifespan of the membership.
mapochette.com supply only authentic designer bags, as authenticated to the best of our ability. All suppliers are rigorously checked, but mapochette.com cannot be held responsible for external companies' misrepresentation or malpractice.
mapochette.com may terminate the agreement at any time.
mapochette.com does not offer credits or refunds for any partial rental period.
All emails and communication between the user and mapochette.com is confidential, unless agreed by both parties.
If a user would like a certain bag for a certain date and hire period, they can email a request to us at firstname.lastname@example.org The wait list is subject to availability we will send an email back to the user, confirming whether or not the bag is reserved on the Wait List. We will do their utmost to fulfil the user's reservation, but cannot guarantee it if the bag has, for example, not been returned by the previous hirer. In such a case, the company will offer an alternative and keep the user informed if there is a chance their desired bag will eventually be available.
When a bag is on the Wait List for a date in the future, mapochette.com will note its unavailability on the bag's individual web page, so that other potential users can see it has been reserved. This allows the bag to be hired on shorter rental periods if still an option.
Hire Period and Delivery/Return
The hire period begins on the hour on the day the bag is shipped and ends the hour on the day it is collected.
Customers may extend their hire period, upon the discretion of mapochette.com subject to a request being made directly to us with 24 hours notice.
mapochette.com undertakes to email the user once the bag has been received back to us at head office. When returning a bag, the user will sign a delivery note with the driver for proof of return.
All packaging, dust bags, and authenticity cards supplied with the bag must be returned with the bag in the original box.
Promotional literature may have been sent to the user within the box and may be retained by the user, disposed of or returned, as the user wishes.
Failure to return a bag on the correct hour of the date will result in mapochette.com contacting the user and treating the bag as lost or stolen. mapochette.com reserve the right to charge as detailed above.
